This model is part of the exclusive Monash 3D anatomy series, a comprehensive series of human dissections reproduced with ultra-high resolution color 3D printing.
In this 3D printed model of a right face and neck with sagittal mid-section, the ramus, coronoid process and head of the mandible have been removed to expose the deep part of the infratemporal fossa.
The pterygoid muscles were also removed to expose the lateral pteygoid plate and the posterior surface of the maxilla. The buccinator was meshed and can be seen to originate from the outer aspect of the maxilla, the pterygomandibular raphe, and the outer aspect of the mandible (edentulous).
