Head and neck dissection - Erler Zimmer 3D anatomy Series - MP1660

This 3D printed specimen of parasagittally dissected head and neck shows a number of anatomical features:

Lateral facial appearance: a window was created to expose the parotid region.

The auricle remained intact, however, the mastoid process was exposed by reflection of the sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM).

The parotid gland was carefully removed to show structures that are normally embedded or hidden by the gland.

The attachment of the posterior digastric belly arising from the medial digastric groove to the mastoid process can be clearly seen.
