Lateral Orbit - Erler Zimmer 3D anatomy Series - MP1680

This model is part of the exclusive Monash 3D anatomy series, a comprehensive series of human dissections reproduced with ultra-high resolution color 3D printing.

This 3D printed specimen shows the orbit from the lateral perspective when the lateral bony wall and part of the calvaria of the skull have been removed. The frontal and temporal lobes of the brain are exposed.

In the orbit, the lateral rectus (LR) has been divided to show the intraconal space. The muscle near its insertion was reflected anteriorly to reveal the insertion of the inferior oblique (IO) muscle.

The portion near its origin from the ring is reflected to reveal the abducens nerve (VI Nv) entering the bulbar aspect of the muscle belly.
