This model is part of the exclusive Monash 3D anatomy series, a comprehensive series of human dissections reproduced with ultra-high resolution color 3D printing.

This model of 3D printed female left pelvis and proximal thigh preserves both superficial and deep structures of the true and false pelvis, inguinal region, femoral triangle and gluteal region.

The specimen was transversely sectioned through the fourth lumbar vertebra, showing the cross section of the musculature (epaxial musculature, psoas muscles and quadratus lumborum) and cauda equina within the vertebral canal.

Also visible are the ventral and dorsal roots of the cauda equina exiting the intervertebral and sacral foramina in the sagittal section.
