Right chest wall dissection - axilla and neck root - Erler Zimmer 3D anatomy Series - MP1521

This model is part of the exclusive Monash 3D anatomy series, a comprehensive series of human dissections reproduced with ultra-high resolution color 3D printing.

This 3D printed right chest wall dissection model shows a dissection of the right chest wall, axilla, and neck root.

The specimen is parasitically cut, and the visceral contents of the chest are removed.

Structures within the right chest wall are visible deeper than the parietal pleura, including the ribs, intercostal space muscles, and the origins of the neurovascular bundle in each intercostal space.

The great pectoralis was reflected medially toward the sectioned edge of the specimen to expose the small pectoralis, which serves as a useful landmark as it divides the axillary artery into its three parts.

The clavicle was removed by the middle 1/3, but the subclavian muscle was retained.

The brachial plexus and many of its branches are seen almost in its entirety from the roots of C5-T1 to its termination as it exits the axilla to enter the arm.
