Erler Zimmer anatomical models, classical liver model in segments K79:

The Erler Zimmer K79 anatomical model of human liver depicts a small-scale human liver.

This scaled-down model shows the division of the liver into C. Couinaud into eight segments. It shows very clearly the independent vascular supply of the individual segments. The branching of the portal vein divides the liver horizontally into a group of upper (cranial) and lower (caudal) segments.

Specifically in this anatomical model of liver, there are the following segments:

  • Left lobe of the liver
  • Segment I caudate lobe
  • Segment II cranial part of the lateral segment
  • Segment III caudate part of the lateral lateral
  • Segment IV square lobe
  • Segment IVa cranial part
  • Segment IVb caudal part
  • Right hepatic lobe
  • Segment V caudal part of the anterior segmental segment
  • Segment VI caudal part of posterior segmental
  • Segment VII cranial part of posterior segment
  • Segment VIII cranial part of the anterior segment

The model is indecomposable, on a removable tripod.
