Erler Zimmer anatomical models, Anterior horse leg with scapula, mobile, on stand VET4370:
Anatomical model for veterinary study
This model is a reproduction of a horse leg.
We have assembled the scapula, humerus, forearm bone (fused ulna and radius), cannon bone, and fused foot. The foot consists of the pastern (os compedale), the coronal bone (os coronale) and the triangular (os ungular). The triangular is normally enclosed by the hoof (not present in the model).
The horse is an excellent walker. Such mammals walk on four toes (the horse's foot is actually only one toe). The equivalent of the wrist or ankle is high off the ground. Such adaptations result in the ability to run at high speeds.
Height: 154 cm
