Anatomical model for veterinary study

This model is a reproduction of a horse skull.

The horse skull is large and narrow and has long, wide, pointed nasal bones.
At the front end of the mouth are large incisors made for cutting grass.
At the back of the mouth are six large rectangular molars on each side of the upper and lower jaws.
The area between the incisors and molars is called the diastema.
A canine is located in this space (stud tooth, not found in all horses).
The orbits lie far back on the skull, typical of grazing animals.
The brain cavity is small.
The original specimen of this replica was a large retired police horse.
The skull is divided into two parts (separate skull and lower jaw).
