This didactic anatomical model of vertebrae is ideal for medical head training, patient interviews, and the study of human anatomy.

The educational vertebrae represented are the 11th and 12th thoracic vertebrae, respectively. On the left side of the stand, casts of thoracic vertebrae with a narrowed intervertebral disc are placed opposite each other.

The upper vertebral body is divided in the central plane. The magnetically fixed half of the vertebral column can be removed with ease, so that the surfaces of the section are visible and the fracture line of the vertebra can be recognized as a result of sintering, i.e., the compaction of bone substance during the onset of osteoporosis and after it.

In addition, degenerative changes in the bone, represented by osteophytes, are also recognizable.

On the right side of the base are casts of two corresponding healthy vertebrae with their intervertebral discs. The upper half of the vertebra is also attached by a magnet and is removable. To complement the vertebral models, there is a sticker on the base with two 3D CT micro-illustrations obtained by bone biopsies.
