This beautiful anatomical teaching model consists of 3 lumbar vertebrae with intervertebral discs, spinal cord and protruding spinal nerves.

One intervertebral disc is normal, the other two show lateral prolapse and medial prolapse, respectively.

The model can be disassembled and the intervertebral discs removed for further study.

The anatomical model of lumbar vertebrae with prolapse Erler Zimmer 4047 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is very hard, lightweight and corrosion resistant. PVC resists reactions with acids, alcohol gasoline, and hydrocarbons.
